OutPost Deck & Fence is a Halifax, Nova Scotia–based company focused on building durable, well-considered outdoor spaces. We specialize in custom decks and fences designed to feel like a natural extension of the home and the landscape around them. Our work is shaped by an understanding of Atlantic Canada’s coastal climate and a belief that exterior construction should be both functional and thoughtfully built.

With over 20 years of experience in the carpentry industry, our approach is rooted in hands-on knowledge and practical decision-making. We focus on solid structure, proper materials, and details that hold up over time. From framing and layout to finishes and installation, we build with longevity in mind—because outdoor spaces should be enjoyed, not constantly repaired.

OutPost Deck & Fence was created as a sister company to Wheelhouse Design Build, allowing us to apply a design-aware mindset to exterior-focused projects without overcomplicating the process. This connection brings a balance of thoughtful planning and straightforward construction, supported by clear communication and reliable execution.

We believe outdoor living spaces are often overlooked or undervalued, despite how much time people spend at home.
